Whether you’ve lost your original key, purchased a replacement, or simply need a spare, our mobile locksmiths offer a fast, affordable alternative to dealership programming – without the long wait times or high costs.

Modern vehicles often require programmed keys to start the engine or operate remote locking. Using advanced diagnostic tools, we can program transponder keys, remote keys, and keyless entry fobs for a wide range of makes and models – all at your location, whether you’re at home, work, or stranded roadside.

If your key has been lost or stolen, we can also reprogram your vehicle’s system to deactivate the old key, ensuring your car remains secure. With BB Locksmiths, you’ll receive a professional, responsive service tailored to get you back on the road quickly and safely.

What is Car Key Programming?

Most modern vehicles require keys with built-in electronic chips (transponders) that communicate with the car’s onboard computer. If the key isn’t correctly programmed, the vehicle won’t start – even if the physical key turns in the ignition.

At BB Locksmiths, we can program new keys from scratch, reprogram after a lost or stolen key, or add additional keys to your car’s system, helping you maintain full control and security over your vehicle.

Our Key Programming Services Include

Programming transponder chip keys

Remote key fob programming

Smart key and keyless system programming

Smart key and keyless entry system programming

ECU reprogramming after lost or stolen keys

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Outstanding service. I called Barry from London after my wife and kids had a car key failure in Hastings. He dropped everything at the end of a long day, drove to the house to pick up old key and then went to the job and worked on it solo. It turned into a much bigger job and he had to rebuild the ignition. Communication was brilliant throughout, kept costs to a minimum and hand delivered the new keys back to my door. Couldn’t recommend more highly and I’m so grateful.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can highly recommend Barry at BB Locksmith. He responded to my enquiry very quickly and came straight to my home to help with an issue we were having with a car key.
The car required a different key for the ignition and the door, which was proving to be a real headache. Barry quickly identified the problem and sorted everything out with no fuss at all. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly.
The price was very reasonable, and the whole experience was stress-free from start to finish. If you need a reliable locksmith who provides excellent service and great value for money, I would not hesitate to recommend Barry.
Thanks again for your help!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Barry came snd repaired our front door lock today. We were so worried it would be expensive but his charge was such a relief. He was friendly and so helpful. He was even great with our 2 year old son who was keen to help with his own little tools. Will definitely use in the future with any further work we may have.
